Our Mission Statement
Operation Care is a Christian Ministry that seeks to provide for the physical, spiritual,
emotional, and social well-being of people in need in a loving, compassionate
environment in the name of Jesus Christ.

What You Can Do

Operation Care has assisted over 11,500 total family members since we began operation in 1988! Some of the financial support we receive comes from Metro Untied Way and the Kentucky Housing Corporation. However, we cannot provide the services and programs needed without the support of people, churches and local businesses. If you would like to become a financial partner, you may send a donation of any amount to:

Here are just a few of the ways that you can provide assistance to those in need through Operation Care:

Donate:
- Slightly used clothing, household items and furniture
- Children's items, such as clothing & toys
- School supplies
- Seasonal goods, such as Christmas trees & dècor, heavy blankets, etc.
Volunteer your time to help in our Thrift Shop:
- Arrange, size, hang & display clothing
- Dust housewares
- Gather empty hangers from sales floor
- Create clothing displays
- Clean floors, restrooms & windows
Adopt a room in the Emergency Shelter. Each time a resident moves out, paint, clean or prepare the room for the next resident.
If you have medical experience, volunteer your time in Medical Clinic as:
- Doctors
- Nurse Practitioners
- RN's
- Physician Assistants
- Bilingual Interpreters - Spanish/English
- Medical office manager/administrator
Financial donations to help pay for utilities and supplies
Volunteer your time to help in maintenence:
- Change light bulbs
- Minor plumbing repairs
- Painting
- Sweep steps & sidewalks
- Take trash to dumpster
- Change furnace filters
- Maintain landscaping
Volunteer your time to help our Human Resources:
- Assist "Housing Coordinator" with case management duties, which include helping clients enroll and qualify for any applicable community resources.
